The Downtown Lincoln Association has presented a novel idea to the downtown area to help keep cigarette butts off the streets.  The idea comes from a United Kingdom marketing campaign that the DLA thought might be a different approach to reduce the number of butts that are left on downtown streets.

SourceOne helped with the design of the boxes and manufacured some trial units from their manufacturing facility close the the downtown area.  Engineer Lonnie Schmidt, with SourceOne, started with concept sketches and turned those into the design that could be manufactured.  It was a unique project that was fun to be involved with.
